We are a well-known, fast-growing national paint company ranked in Entrepreneur Magazine’s top-ranked paint franchise for 2018. We are looking for an Operations Manager to help us build our brand in the Salt Lake market.

This person is responsible for managing all aspects of production within the Salt Lake area. The Operations Manager will handle all day to day activities involving production and will report directly to the President. The key responsibilities include: hiring and training crews, managing production logistics with crews and customers, over-seeing all projects to ensure quality execution, doing field visits to ensure daily progress and safety, collecting the final payment from customers, and anything required to get the jobs produced on time, with high quality and exceptional customer satisfaction.

General Responsibilities

  • Direct Staff
    • Hire, train, evaluate, and manage paint crews:
      • Motivate painters to achieve productivity and effectiveness goals, within company operating guidelines, to meet or exceed goals.
    • Recruit and coach qualified, effective paint crews:
      • Locate and train craftspeople on proper use of materials and tools for each job to build sales and customer satisfaction.
      • Perform meetings as needed with painters and staff to teach goals, enforce standards, and enable good communications.
    • Participate as required in daily operational tasks: Job site visits; Project/crew management; Customer relations; and Project reporting.
    • Serve as daily point of contact for customers.
  • Operating Controls
    • Manage job site material costs, craftspeople performance and initiate methods to improve performance.
    • Support the sales team with estimates and trade shows, as required.
    • Report accurate results as needed on a timely and complete basis.
    • Maintain accurate and open communications with management.
    • Ensure OSHA & EPA compliance.
    • Management of job-site paperwork.
  • Assets Management
    • Maintain physical assets in good condition.
    • Maintain personable and professional relationships with craftspeople and customers.
    • Ensure proper equipment and materials are provided for proper job site production, safety, and/or performance.
  • Additional duties, as required by management

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Associate's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years related experience
